Late Night Rant

I was up playing some games tonight, which I shouldn't have because I told myself I was going to bed at 10 but here I am posting just cause I really don't want to go to bed! haha Not much going on right now with my playing. Other than I have taken about a week break from practicing at home. Tonight I am thinking something a little more humorous video wise. You'll get a crack out of it! :)

Superior Rating on my solo!

Friday was the big day and overall is went pretty well. I got a 9 and 7 was the best. Accuracy was one thing I got a II just cause I messed up in places I have never messed up on before.. haha that's nervousness for ya. I have played the solo better but like I said overall is went well. O and our band got a I also. We were the only ones including another band to get a I. Which was no surprise cause we always get a I haha. Now that my solo is over I have to get back to practicing the basics like etudes and scales. fun fun! Anyways, here is a video showing a lot of trumpets playing an awesome song!

District Music Contest is Tomorrow!

So, if all things go well I will play my solo the best its ever been tomorrow. :) right? haha I have to get up about 6 a.m. and the band leaves around 7. The entire band plays at 8 or so then my solo about 10:30. I am happy about the time pretty much. Not to early but then again not to late. To celebrate this occasion I thought I would put up one of my favorite videos that always bring me to a happy mood! O and wish my luck!

Precontest Concert was tonight

Well let's just say it went allright... My throat was gonna dry, and I kinda flew threw it but then again at least I hopefully got the jitters out before Friday when its actually the real deal. Kinda stunk though because the night before I had my private lesson and I ran through it better than tonight but w/e I guess. I am excited for Friday though! Wish me luck.

Districk Music Contest

This year is my sophomore year in High School, and I am going to play Goedicke Trumpet solo tune. I have been working hard at it for about a month and Districts are this Friday. Tomorrow night(Tuesday) we have precontest concert up at out high school, so we can run through everything. Overall I am happy with my progress, and maybe in the summer when I get a descent mic I'll record myself on it.
